Roger Lewis

After 25 years’ corporate excitement and success in the insurance industry I was asked to share my experiences in a consultancy capacity – and so FUSE was born.

Since then I’ve been delighted to build on my history of growing multinational businesses by way of organic development, merger, acquisition and joint venture activity and delivering successful change, and have set up a team to help others do the same.

Managing really-well the people side of business change is something I believe in passionately. As a qualified Change Management Practitioner my focus is helping leaders engage with and obtain the support of their colleagues delivering what the future state needs to look like, after the change.

Colleagues appreciate my upbeat approach to leadership, my passion for innovation and my commitment to embracing change.

Customers tell me they value my integrity and my effective delivery of results. I have a business network across the UK, European and Far East which is available to all my clients.

Portfolio highlights include delivery of a new digital way of working for insurer Markel International, who engaged FUSE to redesign the wholesale underwriting process, capture of data and system architecture. A new automated and integrated underwriting system delivered an impressive 25% reduction in system touch points and 50% improvement in end-to-end processing time.

Supporting Ocado PLC Transformation Office to project manage the establishment of Ocado’s Centre of Process Excellence we refined optimal processes, on the way identifying numerous pain points, and efficiency drivers, as well as developing an in-house capability to capture, visualise and govern process using tried and tested third-party TIBCO NIMBUS software.

Career successes include the 3-year build-out of a 50-person U$ 60m premium insurance underwriting agency in London, Guernsey and Canada and 8-year leadership of a market leading and highly profitable ten-person U$ 50m premium international insurance Underwriting team.
